AUGUST 10th, 11st, &12nd 2018 marks the weekend of the 15th Annual New West Cultural Crawl. The Cultural Crawl is a visual arts and cultural event that celebrates and presents New Westminster’s creative character and diversity. It is a cultural experience that exists throughout the city’s 5 distinct neighbourhoods.

VICTORY HEIGHTS & SAPPERTON Home to the live and work studios of Lanta Meng, Monique Lum and Margaret Halsey as well as the unique Van Dop Gallery, the home and gallery of New West Cultural Crawl organizer Trudy Van Dop. The New West 7 is a group of local artists with international acclaim who will be showing at the Van Dop Gallery. Sapperton is home to a number of artists who live and work in this historic neighborhood.

DOWNTOWN & THE QUAY Plan to spend time unpacking the marketplace of arts and culture packed into the Downtown area and the Quay. Works from contemporary emerging and established artists are featured at trendy boutiques, restaurants, and galleries.

UPTOWN is brimming with art and historical culture. Visit some of New West’s finest galleries and studios and step into the Victorian era in the 1865 Irving House; the oldest house in the lower mainland.

QUEENSBOROUGH & THE WEST END After your day’s exploring on Saturday, don your super-hero best and wind down watching “The Incredibles” in the outdoor screening at Port Royal Park. Visit New West 7 acclaimed artist Gabor Gasztonyi at the Gabor Gasztonyi Studio.
