VAN DOP OFFSITE @ wildrice

SUMMER 2018

The newest Van Dop Gallery satellite installation at wildrice restaurant features the work of four prominent VDG artists: Lanta Meng, Jim Walsh, Enda Bardell, Lori Bagneres and Veronica Foster.

The installation is curated to showcase the unique representation of West Coast imagery by each of the artists selected for the show. The hazy, soft landscapes of Lanta Meng seem to offer the viewer a stolen glance into a place of memory and longing, while the bright, bold landscapes of Jim Walsh beg the viewer to dive into intimate contact with luscious details of familiar landscapes. Like Meng’s hazy vision are the ethereal landscapes of Lori Bagneres with a distinctive and ghostly depth thanks to layers of applied materials.

Veronica Foster’s images of crows articulate the drama and spirit of the West Coast while Enda Bardell’s landscapes classically mirror the supernatural beauty of British Columbia.
